This Privacy Policy describes how Fastigo (“Fastigo”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Fastigo passenger app, the Fastigo Driver app, and related websites and support channels (together, the “Services”). It is linked from our Google Play and Apple App Store listings.

1. Information we collect
- Account & profile: name, email, phone, username, profile photo, and similar details you provide.
- Location: precise or approximate location when you use maps, pickup, trip tracking, or go online as a driver. The Fastigo Driver app may use background location while you are online or on an active trip so passengers can track you. The Fastigo passenger app uses location only while you are using the app (foreground) to set pickup points and show nearby drivers.
- Trips & usage: pickup/drop-off, routes, fares, ratings, chat, support tickets, SOS alerts, and app logs.
- Payments & wallet: payment metadata, wallet balances, transactions, and payout details. Card data is processed by payment partners (e.g. Paystack).
- Device & technical: device type, OS, app version, push tokens, IP address, and diagnostics.
2. How we use information
- Provide rides, matching, live tracking, and navigation
- Verify drivers (KYC) and operate safety features including SOS
- Process payments, wallets, payouts, and commissions
- Send service notifications and support responses
- Prevent fraud, enforce terms, and comply with law
3. How we share information
We share trip-related information with the other party (passenger or driver), service providers under contract (hosting, maps, messaging, payments), authorised operations staff, and authorities when required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Location choices
You can control location permissions in your device settings. Disabling location may limit core features. Background location applies to the Driver app only when online or on a trip.
5. Your rights & account deletion
You may request access, correction, or deletion by emailing support@fastigo.ng from the address linked to your account. To delete your account, use Account deletion or email us with the subject “Account deletion request”.
6. Security & retention
We use technical and organisational measures to protect data. We retain records as needed to provide the Services, resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements.
7. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes
We may update this policy and will post the revised version on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
